Took a planned day off to rest some, needed the time off to let the knees and hips rest a bit, back at it tomorrow, though. I did get the regular maintenance and cleaning done this morning.

Did you mean 135 miles??? Taking a break, huh.
Saturday I did 103 with 8.5 K of climbing, in all my usual haunts. |
20.1 mi. this morning before sunrise @ 20.4 mph.

Took a 25,1 mile ride early this afternoon. What fantastic weather our area is still having.
Hopefully our members in the Northwest and New England, also, haven't been harmed or suffered property losses. Bill |
It was beautiful here in Chicagoland. In the 60s, sunny and low wind. Did 35/.6 mi at the site I work.
Hope to commute in tomorrow. It is supposed to get in the high seventies, then start dropping until it hits below freezing by the end of the week. Get while the getting's good! |
Beautiful Fall day in Central Indiana, too. Sunny and got up to 70F.
22 mile ride mostly on rural roads with a couple of hills to climb. |
38 fast miles on Saturday (finally, a nice day). Pounding up hills standing on the 53 like I was some maniac youngster... or a 53 yo reformed couch potato turned fitness zealot. Noticeably faster on some favorite roads when pressing for threshold. My LT - as determined by RPE and breathing -- seems to have gone up in performance but down about 5 bpm in heart rate from a week or two ago. I've started (just started) cross training with trail running and stationary rowing, nothing else has changed. I went for a short hike with my daughter Sunday, sore all over. Actually hit the advil -- first time I've done that since May. Monday morning: I'm still sore!
Edit: Figured it out: Soreness from rowing. I'm doing it correctly, just perhaps a little too energetically for my present condition. |
Ended my Coast to Coast ride yesterday. What a fantastic trip across Florida. A total of 50 riders rode 58 miles on Friday, 80 miles on Saturday and 72 miles yesterday. All in picture perfect weather. This ride is going to be added to my yearly list of rides and top the list as the best ride I've done to date.

Have not been posting my rides lately.
But I will today! Central Ohio weather can be fickle. However Saturday I rode 26 miles on a very nice 70 degree and sunny day. Today temp was 77 and I went for 30! Tomorrow will be 20-25 degrees colder, wet and windy. |
Rode 25.1 miles early this afternoon over one of my regular routes. Only some Southeast winds to add anything, just pedaled a bit harder and had a great time riding.

Had to ride to work today as it was predicted to be in upper 70's..........actually hit 80F. Windy on the way home but not a problem. 21 miles
|
A nice 23 miles this morning with the wife after a rest day yesterday.
|
Made sure to get in a ride this afternoon, 25.1 miles again, supposed to be raining here tomorrow as a cold front moves through.

A very nice 45 mile ride with one of my teammates this morning. Rode at a pretty quick pace and wasn't sure if my legs would hold up after riding across the state this past weekend. Surprisingly, they did real well.

7 mile commute into work, avg mph 17.2 (including stoplights).
Hoping my nashbar delivery comes to work today with my lights, since i'm working late. 10 miles to ride home via the scenic route. |

Did a fast 18mi ride @17.5mph this morning on the Allez (what a fun bike). Temp at 8:30 was 36º, but only lite wind (about 3mph). Sweatshirt under the bike jacket and liners in the gloves. Gotta ride, it's what gets me out of bed in the morning.

Rain went all around the area I ride in so another 25 miles in the log book, this afternoon. Supposed to be cooler tomorrow with the first real cold front of the season coming through on Friday night. Might just get our first frost of this year during the weekend.

Cooler here today, too. 21 miles as a Bike Commuter riding to and fro.
|
Nice but cool 6 mile ride to the hardware store for some finish nails.
Would a rode to the lumber store, but 20 miles with two pieces of 8 foot quarter round may have proved interetsing. |
Crammed in a lot of work in the early hours so I could take a mid-morning ride. The weather was seasonal, the winds light, the traffic light -- made for a fun ride.
|
Very nice 33 mile ride with the wife this morning on the Suncoast Trail. Today was her farthest ride in 2 1/2 years (PB is 35). Very proud of her! :thumb:

Made it a 25.5 mile ride this afternoon. Afraid I'm coming down with a cold or sinus infection, headache, fever and some overall aches in my joints. Ugggh.
