Same here, 20 miles today. Couldn't ask for much better weather, sunny, mid-forties and light winds.

54 Miles. It's been raining the last few days, today was clear blue skies, but 45°. Tried out my new Marmot gloves, my hands were very cold most of the day. I guess I'll return them tomorrow. I need gloves that keep me warm in below freezing temps.

I bought a pair of three finger mitts and I just love them when it is cold out.

So happy to see a change for the better from my dog! Sadness can wait for another day. I am going to ride my bike (on Zwift).

Another great ride with my buddy Frank C this morning. Looks as if he's feeling much, much better. He's certainly riding like it. 40 great miles, except the last six where we were bombarded with 17-19 mph side and crosswinds. That wasn't pretty!

Another bike commuting day on a nicely mild Fall day. Very windy this afternoon but that had died down by my 5pm ride home. 19 miles.

15 miles today. Warm but windy. Rode the route with the wind helping on the way home.

Got out while it was still dark this morning, rode with my wife just long enough to help her change a flat, then left her to her structured Z2/3 agenda and did a solo 30 mile hammerfest. Now I can't walk! Maybe I should get an agenda...

32 miles, working on hill climbs. Picked a route with as many short, steep climbs as I could manage. Improved my times on most of those. Not fun but helps in the long run.

Today I rode with the friend that first introduced me to cycling, last time we rode together was like 3 or 4 years ago, it was about time!

The cold front and rains that moved to the East came and went early. Glorious day to be alive, forecast 50* but wind chill of 40* and they meant it. I rode my northwest route to the Little Calumet River and found a great place out of the wind to stop for a break. Felt like 60*+ there and I peeled some clothes only to get back into the cold front wind. I still felt fine, I was testing my new outer wear pants and my Sutra was now road-legal in Indiana as I have a new bell. I had a truly great ride of 18.6 miles until my furnace ran dry of fuel. Luckily I was close to home. I should have taken more than one Cliff Bar.

I road about 16 indoor miles this morning testing my new Cambium 17 seat for my Wheelhouse. It is much better then the OEM seat and I am finally learning where I sit on it and can fine tune it. The weather is supposed to hold for this week so I will take the Wheelhouse off the KickR and test it outdoors with a proper seat.

40 total miles yesterday with my buddy Steve. He rode 25 miles and I did the rest solo.

Only needed 20 miles to get 1,000 for the month. Decided to do a 25 mile slow ride with the wife and call it a day. She told me to just do one of my usual rides, so off I went on a solo endeavor to do a 40 mile ride. Ran into my riding buddy Frankie (he wasn't going to ride today) and ended up with 52 miles. 1,033 miles for the month.

I will remember Dec 1, 2017 as a happy, sunny day. Mid 40's and still windy. Great day for a 14.6 mile recovery ride.

46 Miles. Thought it will be my last chance to ride up into the mountains. Wasn't too cold, but riding constantly up hill will keep you warm, down hill was a little chilly. The last two miles near the top the roads were wet from snow melt. Sun came out 2 hours into the ride but was partly hidden by the trees, it's very low on the horizon. Only three weeks from the Winter Solstice and the days will start getting longer, but will still be getting colder.

106 miles Friday. My first full century since I was in my 20s during the 1970s-'80s. I'd been trying all year but usually neck spasms stopped me at the metric century mark. I still had neck spasms Friday but stopped to rest after 65 miles, alternating between ice and heat packs on my neck, then finished the ride.

The final 10 miles was miserable -- I could barely lift my head to see the road. My average speed had dropped from a sustainable 15 mph pace up to the 76 mile mark, to 12 mph by the end of the ride. But I finished. Overcoming that mental barrier was as important as anything else.

Hi all, just checking in. The shoulder replacement surgery Nov 20 went well, it'll be at least another 2-3 months before I can ride again (damn). The complication is in not being able to use the right arm for a few weeks while the ligaments heal. I am not left handed. DOA! (Damned Old Age). But at least the right shoulder pain will be gone.

I ended up with 5,929 miles (9,542k) for the year, 564 more than all of last year.

Best wishes to you GB. The awkward left hand is much better than having to call for help.

When I started PT after my shoulder injury, water PT was a very helpful was to get it moving again.

Back on the road today after 13 day layoff. Got out at 1:24AM, showered and kit change after first 63 miles to be clean for a photo shoot for a local magazine article then another 64 miles. Kind of slow after last Sunday's Space Coast Half Marathon and really didn't expect to total much past 100 miles so extremely pleased with the 127 miles. Tomorrow will be walking training for January's Walt Disney World's Marathon.

Haven't really pushed myself lately because of my riding buddies, so on today's 40 mile, solo ride, I treated my self to intervals. I did pretty darn good until the wind started to pick up. Overall, I'm very pleased with today's effort.
