32 miles with 1900’ of hills after walking 18 holes in the morning. Worked a little on power. Big chain ring only for the hills.

Yes, a cold 4.1 mile cruise around the neighborhood on my Roll , to stretch the legs .

Got in a nice mtb ride this morning. Haven't been to this trail since the end of Summer. Everything is nice and green.

Last night, 25.1 miles, 55F (where's winter?) to the greenway for time then a northern loop. I found a groove and pushed harder than usual and now I'm sore. Got passed by an EV for the first time, notable for how quiet it was. It surprised me a little since I didn't hear it coming up.

Did my kid's school commute with him, then rode up the levee trail to my office downtown. He's riding 13mi round trip, plus doing conditioning for track on top of that. Fittest 15 year old I know. He's already faster than I am on a CX bike. Pretty soon he's going to be able to drop me on a road ride too.

Nice unusually warm Winter weather today. A chance to bring out the Bottecchia and try out the jersey:

40 miles of gravel and asphalt with 3100’ of climbing. Love the really rural route with fairly smooth dirt roads......ad an Amish store on the route.
What’s behind that high dollar gate out here in the middle of nowhere??? Amish bread on my turkey sandwich. It’s a very good day! https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...5c6e843c3.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...96da147d9.jpeg |
I had my first ride after prostate removal. I only went 1 mile on my new bike. Certainly not what I am used to doing but probably more satisfying than most rides previously taken for granted. On my way back!

O5 Fuji, good for you! Heal quickly!

Some wind??? When were you riding??? My ride had 12mph most of the time with gusts that jerked my front wheel a number of times!!!! Just a little sandwich ride of 57 solo miles + 19 miles drafting with the group out of Real Bikes for Bob's 3rd X-FL training ride + 52 solo miles |
Impromptu 72 solo miles with 3600’ of hills.......after walking 18 holes of golf this morning. Unseasonably warm at low 70’s. I rode 36 miles into the wind (5-10mph) turned around and joyfully rode the remainder with a helping wind.

I’m guessing the entire complex is around 10,000 kilowatts. |
Another 60 degree day - 12 mile ride with spouse. one hill.
snow coming in a couple of days. |
A tad over 14 miles at 4AM this morning before work. 33° and that is about as cold as I'm willing to ride in with the gear I have. Toes and fingers were pretty numb after 45 minutes.
|
Last night, a quick 6 miles to pick up a book at the library. Since I left my library card (and the fanny pack it rides in) at home, I get to go back and do it again in a couple days, if I get a break in the rain.

Up in the hills this morning for a nice ride:

Low water bridge that is supposed to have the creek running under it, not over. Too much rain already in February here in Virginia. 40 miles on the surrounding gravel roads this Tuesday. T-shirt riding weather with temps in the mid 60s, but threatening skies and rain forecast (which is why I have my rain gear strapped to the back). Part of my route included a gravel road closed by VDOT due to some very major major overwash from an adjacent creek. Imagine a WWI battlefield - that was the condition of that road. First time I've ever had my pedals go underwater while riding. |
