Modified kids bike frame.
Front wheel drive.
Mountain bike fork for a seatpost.
Cheapo office chair for a saddle.
Purple awesomeness.

You could probably fit a wine bottle in that holder.

I bet the hardest part was finding the matching purple seat!! I think I see valve stem in the rear tires so they look to be pressurized versus solid. I find myself really studying that thing........

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.
I see two cables coming from the handlebar but no brake.

But..............does look like a brake is on the front of the most forward piece of the 'fork-thing' below the crankset. Not on the original fork.
Cruzbike will be introducing their own version of this thing very soon.

Agreed. The genius of the bike is that it can be configured in so many ways and still be recognized as a bike.
this weekend I am riding in Monterey CA. One of the bike trails goes past a homeless encampment of sorts. Many of these guys have turned "throw away" bikes into veritable works of engineering art, converting them into transport vehicles for their worldly possessions. Truly amazing!

I did see him once, at Neptune's Net. He was quite a sight. Since then I have seen other riders pulling similar "transports" but none in the scale of Roland.
I wish I had talked to him.
