2008 Dahon Jetstream D8 ???
New to folding bikes and thinking of buying a used Dahon Jetstream D8…$400….I need a bike for city commuting and occasion trips and rougher terrain…? Any info gratefully accepted. Thanks.

That's a very cool bike at a good price. It's not the smallest fold so I probably wouldn't pick it for riding the train or bus every day, but it's fine for the occasional toss into the car to drive to a riding spot. I say go for it..at that price you can always resell it if you decide you'd like to try something else. All us folder people go through several permutations of this type of bicycle as we learn what works best for us.

Thanks…i'm now the proud owner of a Dahon Jetstream D8 !! Next big problem: i need to transport it by plane…any suggestions for fitting it in a Samsonite 31" F'lite suitcase? I've been told that since it doesn't have a "two piece adjustable handlebar post" and with the suspension system it may be a problem.--removing the handle post and disassembling the steering bearings!!??
