Wrapping only works when browser is set to full-screen.

Can't set browser to full-screen at work because can't see what's going on under the browser.

Big Fail.

Style issues ;like wrap, try logging out and clear the cache and cookies, then logging back in to get the new style cookie.

The new flame icons are really in-your-face and distracting. Can they be tamed down a bit?

Doesn't work. It's gotta be something in the template (Web dev here). The posts are being stretched out by something. And doing a quick glance at the source, it looks like it may be something in your CSS class "fullwidth"

lotek 11-23-10 09:34 AM

I had the scrolling issue in Firefox, and no matter what I did (settings) it didn't work.
Just for grins I opened up forums in Chrome and there is no scrolling issue everything fits
full screen.

OK, I have the heads up to our tech people about this thread. They'll see it as soon as they get in this morning.....they are on Pacific time.

I agree. Would like to be able to click on the banner again.

word wrap, and unable to start new threads.

Edit ; also no reply or quick reply.

and now auto log out. its getting worse.

bcbb_ben 11-23-10 10:02 AM

According to what I read at the vBulletin site, the threads too wide issue may be a setting on the Quick Reply box.

Ed:

As a global setting for the admin, not a user controlled size setting.

Just out of curiosity, why a lizard?
I don't hate lizards, it just seems out of place.

and this is my thread starter.

Siu Blue Wind 11-23-10 11:05 AM

The reply to thread is in the small gray strip below a post.

The start new thread is in the dark short strip above all of the threads, below the header.

Doohickie 11-23-10 11:20 AM

When I search for all posts by a given user (usually myself, to see if there's been activity on a thread I've posted to), it used to return a result that looked very similar to a normal forum listing (or the New Posts search). Now it looks a lot different. Any way to get the Find Users Posts search results back to the previous format?

Yeah, I know. but after I click on them, what I pasted is what the page that opens up looks like, and it is unresponsive.

Edit; quote, and edit work just fine.

umd 11-23-10 11:39 AM

The new icons are stupid. Whoever designed them should be shot.

mmmdonuts 11-23-10 12:03 PM

Shouldn't it look the same in all browsers? IE and Firefox display different icons.

TurbineBlade 11-23-10 12:10 PM

Why do I have to scroll across the screen to read posts now? The new format sucks - why do people screw with stuff that is working fine?

Tom Stormcrowe 11-23-10 12:22 PM

Please post what your browser is that you are using and operating system, so we can get a better idea of where to look and to try to replicate your issues.

IE uses non-W3C compliant MS specific proprietary code, so there can and are differences in many websites as to how it renders in different browsers.

dont beaat around the bush umd, tell us how you really feel. (note; I would have added emoticons but its too much work)

umd 11-23-10 12:29 PM

And as if the new icons weren't bad enough, nobody thought to also update the "You have posted in this thread" icons, so now there is a mix of new and old icons, which looks really lame.

I would much rather the simple changes be made rather than slowing development for a funeral.

The flame icon, in particular, is strange. Your average informed user would see that as a warning that the thread is flame riddled. The cycling lizard might just be a matter of familiarity.

Basic functions on my Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12 are all fine.

As the older threads age off, the new iconography will be gradually replacing the older envelope icon. The new icons came into play with threads started after the update, so we will get consistency there as time passes.

I just posted for the first time into a thread and it now shows the old icon.
