New frame, needs some direction

Hello all! So here is my situation right now, I just recently bought a wheelset thinking I would just make some dropbolts for my 27" steel frame. I did that and rode it for a week until I saw a caad 5 r1000 si frameset (with handlebars and bottom bracket) for sale for 40 bucks. Naturally I snagged it. So here is where I need advice. I have a Cannondale r700 650c bike at home (that I don't ride) with an older 105 8 speed groupset on it. Should I just take that group set off of that bike and donate it to the newer frame or should I hold out and save up for a newer 10 speed 105 group? Will a ten speed cassette even fit on the frame? Should I try and get used ultegra 9 speed group or any alternative. I'm looking for a little direction. Thanks in advance!

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

Always keep one bike complete and rideable. Mix and match the rest all you want. There will always be some donor bike part that won't work with your replacement frame.
