-XT drivetrain, besides the RaceFace Prodigy XC cranks
-Avid Single digit 7 rim brakes
-Cyclocomputer and head/tail light are the lil' accesories

Next to go is this POS fork....InSync Grind 323....It absorbs all or nothing basically.

Yep. I am glad i spared money on the bikes so I could buy accessories. These saddles are amazing. I will never have a spongey butt jabber again.

I love it when people feel the saddle and say, "that must hurt like mad!" I just smile and think about how little time they must have spent on a bike. If you have spent very much, it doesn't take long to figure out what is comfortable.

I do most of my cycling on a 12-yr old city/hybrid-bike which I recently upgraded with:
- Drop bars with Sora shifters
- 3x8 up from 3x7
- Schmidt dynohub
- SPD dual pedals
The drop bars together with the small red&black frame (like a very old mountain bike) give that bike a funny look.

On nice summer week-ends I also use a 2001 Bianchi "Reparto Corse" with Campa Veloce.
And since last november I also store an unnamed mountain bike which I haven't used much yet.
Plus my brother's 1979 Peugeot 10-speed I just refurbished, but this one is for him.

My latest ride was on the 28th of February. I rode to the blue line station at Desplaines Ave in Forest Park 5 blocks rode the L to clark and lake and then rode and walked to the lake front path starting by abewight(a former lakes Ferry and home of the Columbia Yacht club, Abegwight means cradled on the waves) I then rode past Navy pier to fullerton by the theater on the lake. I rode and walked back to Clark and lake etc. I may have covered 10 miles on my 3 speed Dahon piccolo. It has 305 mm= 16 inch wheels. Koffee do you know how far that is ? You do live in Chicago right?

KapronJ 03-10-04 08:56 PM
