Apparel Help

Need some help with choosing the right riding apparel, specifically in the size department. I am a rather large guy, not tall, but outwardly. While I've lost 24 lbs in the last 4 weeks, my stomach is still quite large, coming in around 50" at the navel. My hips are only 45" primarily because I don't have a keester. My legs pretty much run all the way up to my neck. But my thighs are quite large with a diameter of 27".

I've been looking at the Bib Bicycle Shorts, I think the suspenders would be more comfortable in the long run, as well as, aiding in keeping my pants up. The problem I've been running into is that the sizes are kind of all over the place. Even at XXXL the measurements are too much in some areas and not enough in others. I haven't been able to find any apparel in my area that I can try on, but I am hesitant to order online and then not have them fit properly. Hopefully I won't be at the size much longer, especially once I start riding on a daily basis but for now this is what I have to deal with.

Would appreciate any help in solving this problem.

No two bike apparel makers sizing is alike... its very annoying, and because of that, you will have a hard time finding anyone able to help you without specific brands and things like that.

Six pounds a week is certainly do-able, but it's a bit more than normally recommended. Are you working with a doctor? BTW, congrats on your weight loss so far!

Yes I am working with a Doctor as well as a Life-Coach. The program is Transformation by Unicity. It hasn't been 6 pounds a week. The last two have only been 2 pound losses. It was the first two weeks when they had me drinking two shakes a day that I lost the most. 14 the first week, and 6 the second. But the third week the cut me back to only one shake per day and eating two meals. There is no snacking allowed, have to maintain a strict 4-4-12 schedule, 4 hours between breakfast and lunch, and 4 between lunch and dinner, then 12 hours between dinner and breakfast. But I am slowly getting it done and losing inches as well, by the time the program ends on Sept 17th, I should weigh between 240-250 which would give me a 45-55 pound total loss. I stopped drinking all caffeine and only drink water now, also my sugar intake is about 1/4 or less than what it used to be. I went from a 7.4 A1c to a 6.6 in just two weeks. That's full blown Type II Diabetes to just barely Type II. Normal Range is 4-5.6, and Borderline Diabetes is 5.7-6.4, I have my next blood test next Tuesday and I'm really hoping to be under that 6.4, although I'm concerned because things have been stressful the last couple of weeks and I've cheated a bit more than I am allowed to, primarily with Ice Cream. I am hoping that once I start riding on a regular basis I can have a better outlet than going to the Gym to relieve stress.

4+4+12=20. I can see why you are losing so much weight if you have take away 4 hours each day.

Yeah its pretty challenging at times. Especially since I have to eat before I work out the in the morning, but I don't get home from work til about 5:30, and I get up at 4:30 and try to be at the Gym by 6am so I can get to work by 8am. Its a mad, mad, mad dash some days.

Check out Aerotech Designs. They have a section dedicated to big & tall. Plus they're made in the USA.

Sorry for the brevity. ! = surprise. ? = question (in this case, how and the circumstances). I don't know of punctuation marks for support or condemnation.
