I forgot about snow, momentarily. We get heavy snowfall in the winter (and early spring, because Colorado's crazy like that), which will put a damper on my riding. I am NOT looking forward to it .

I used to love snow, but ever since I got into cycling, I've been dreading snow.

Rode down to the MLK Memorial dedication. Big crowd, so I couldn't see much.

Nice! I've been noticing snakes on one of the trails I ride as well. I almost ran one over but I was able to stop in time and maneuver around it. I stopped to get a look and he was gone into the bush.

Oh, and Alpha, I ended up getting a GoPro Hero 960!

Here's a couple vids. I haven't been able to go anywhere interesting yet as the fall weather has arrived and with a vengeance. It's been rain and high winds for the past four days! Ugh. Anyway, I did record a bit to test it out.

haha, I'll start practicing that mono wheelie right away!

Thanks for the comment! I realize there wasn't anything exciting going on in the vids, more so just to test out a couple different mounts, plus the camera. The weather is still crappy so I haven't been riding much. The first nice day we get, I'll hit some trails and bring the camera!

I sat at a bench that I used to take breaks at all the time (but now I don't need to because I have bui,t up my cardiovascular endurance). Took a bunch of pictures and used photomerge in photoshop to string them together.

Did 11 miles today on my specialised crosstrail (I'm only 3 weeks into my riding after a 23 year gap!), mixed terrain with some main road, country lane, bumpy old rail track path, field paths.. Lots of horrid hills that I still managed to get up thanks to spinning advice in here.

Was a great ride, although gets up the stairs right now is tiring!

26 miles to two different LBS's, some road some trail, LUNCH, then home on a awesome late fall day is So. Colorado! This weekend was awesome, except for the blustery winds, but event they weren't too bad for riding! The leaves are falling from the trees, fall is waining, sadly, winter is coming.

Yesterday I took my hybrid to a triathlon training ride. We did about 40 miles, which was the longest ride I ever did.
I was a bit frowned upon by most as they all rode roadracebikes but that frowning stopped mid-ride since I was still there.
Why did I not take my racebike? Because my racebike is an actual TT bike and it's not comfortable like my hybrid is.
On top of that none of these guys have actual TT bikes yet since the club is brand new. I would feel a bit sorry for them.

went on a ride from federal way to tacoma and back, 54 miles. Great ride except for the fact I didn't dress nearly warm enough.
the tacoma dome

pretty nice, although short, MUP by the water

not sure why but I like this picture

pain in the butt riding up this hill, but once on the top I found a friend

stopped for a picture or two then had to warn off traffic as he ran across a pretty busy road.

Good times

Rochester Hills, MI to Richmond, MI - round trip 52 miles, and half of it in dark. It was pretty cold - around 45F and windy. I supposed to go for a 100-150 miles ride in PA, including Allegheny Trial this weekend, but all my riding partners bailed out...way to cold for them...
Here are some pics from our last trip.

Today, 8 miles to work, and later on to get my hair cut and then back home. Yesterday, work, John's New Classic shoes (didn't buy anything, discovered that Danskos don't have a size to fit me and my calves are still too wide for standard width boots), Pop's Resale Shop (got a pair of black Vans sneakers for $12), Goodwill (looking for Halloween costume components, no purchases), Subway (footlong turkey sub), and finally home. I need to start taking pictures along my rides.

In the spirit of adding photos - here's one from my ride over to the hair salon yesterday:

Normally I'd say 'only in Kentucky', but it's a Virginia plate.....
