I want to say you'll be fine. It really depends on if the dimensions are correct. Considering the fact that Maxxis consideres the Ignitor to be a race tire it's dimensions might be closer to 2.2 or less (Continentals been doing stuff like that for years) I'm not positive, but it should work just fine. Kona would be better able to confirm this in my opinion as my familiarity with Maxxis products is sorely lacking.
On a side note where did you find a 2.35? I went to the Website and the biggest I saw there was a 2.1

Yeah you seem to be looking in the cross country section. I think the 2.35 is in the freeride section. They are selling the Ignitor cheap on eBay.

I saw the tire on a bike at a bike shop today. I've been looking for tires too, so I'm inspecting every tire I see
. I thought it was the 1.95 version until I kneeled down and saw 2.35" on the sidewall. All I can say about the tire is they look much narrow than a 2.35" tire. I like the thread pattern though.

Yeah i noticed that. I can get the Ignitor in 2.1 and cheaper but yeah i'll have to think about it. I will be using these tires off road use only by the way.

I ran them on my SS for a while and they were fine. They work pretty good on the trail but I think the High Rollers and Minions both hook up better where I ride in WNC. If it helps any my SS is a Hardrock and the tire fit fine.

The thing is, if i go with the 2.35's, i'll have to buy new tubes and thats costing me an extra $35 or so. If i go with the 2.1's i can just use the tubes that are in my other tires now.

my brother has them on his bike.
i've ridden them a couple times.
they're very grippy and ride predictably.
they're probably best suited to xc or not-too-aggressive trail riding.
(tho i may be biased as i'm used to tougher freeride tires)
but yeah, if i needed a tire for that use, i'd definitely get the ignitors.
i think they even won a "best tire" award or something
in one of the mountain bike magazines.
