Oh, I can't judge right now...I haven't been on any bikes since the early October. And I just sold the DH bike today. All I've been doing is training for and playing hockey...and that's further removed from mountain biking than road riding.

Sad thing is our weather has been awesome for late season riding. We're supposed to be hitting up Canmore for some shuttling tomorrow so that should make up for all of it! ;)

When out for some fun today. Rode the trail in the Bonnie Carry Spillway. Went out to the Wall Bridge for a little play time and then went back to the start and rode the whole trail. The trail is very sandy and I hit a deep spot and hit the ground pretty hand. I will most likely be stiff in my right hip from it in the morning. Here are a couple of photos from the wall bridge.

Couldn't be more jealous of your fall weather. It would seem that Georgia has decided to start skipping all the best riding seasons. Spring lasted about two weeks, then turned to summer. And now the same for fall, as it seems winter is already here. Georgia winter, at least (50 in the afternoon, 30 at night). This happening anywhere else in the southeast or just Georgia?

We're having a cold snap right now. Got down in the 20's last night but looking at mid 60's in a few days.

I hope we can get out of this cold spell & get at least a month or so of autumn weather before winter comes. Summer was long enough, we don't need an equally long winter.

-1st place finisher was recently beaten by some guy named Ned Overend in some 'officialy-sanctioned' race.

This is from a while ago...the start of October actually. It is the last runs on my DH bike (it's sold now) on closing day at Canada Olympic Park (COP) in Calgary. It's a lift accessed hill in Calgary...the runs are short but the lift is fast and you can bang out a lot of runs. In 2008, the hill was redone by Tom Pro (same guys that did a bunch of Whistler) so now the place is fast, smooth and jumpy. Unfortunately, nothing is very big so it's not much of a challenge (it's geared towards groms) but still fun.

This video is actually of me! We had two days of riding but of all that riding, I only got two runs in the lead so I didn't have a lot to work with. The two runs were on the flowy jump trails rather than the DH course so this stuff would have been better on my 4x bike.

It's still great out here...and the riding is perfect. Just haven't been doing any of it though!

BTW, Canmore was pretty good...we were riding a demo 2010 Spec SXT and it was a lot of fun. I was also trying out my new chest cam mount. Have to go through the footage and put something together.

Actually looks like a fun little place. Fast lifts are good - - one reason I'm liking Schweitzer over Silver down here; yeah, Silver is long runs but it also takes 20 minutes on the gondola to get back to the top. Schweitzer is like a 5 min. to top on a high-speed quad and you're back at it.

I'll be interested to see the chest-mount footage. Everything I've seen so far from those mounts I think I like better than helmet mount but it will be interesting to see what you get and what you think of it.

Weather here has been mild - - should get in some sessioning at Beacon on Thurs. It'll be the first time on the big bike since I healed.

BTW, you're up into October with posted HC footage - - what happened to July?

The first time out with the chest mount was okay but I couldn't angle it up as much as I like (due to the mount design). I modified the mount a bit and I think it should be at level I am happy with now.

Everything except for the July footage, I was in control of...it's like pulling teeth trying to get this stuff! I told Chris he had to make some vids with you in it but obviously that hasn't happened!

I definitely prefer chest cam footage to helmet mount. Gives you more of the "riding" experience.

I used to think 66 was a smooth rider but after seeing never's vid I am not so sure.
