Raked a **** ton of leaves from the big maple in front of the house that was hanging on to them for dear life. Finished tearing out the kitchen for a touch of renovation work. Got the pooch settled. Went for a ride. Going to work in a few.

I can never understand how all your bikes are so clean in the pictures. Maybe it's something to do with your part of the world.

^Looks like a **** ton of leaves on the ground. Dry leaves make for a nice blanket between your bike & the dirt.

it was sunny, mid 50's, me and george decided to go for a ride, so we did Butterknife. A fun, rocky, fast, flowy, not too tech-y, but enough to keep you on your toes and make it interesting kinda trail. we were the only ones on it. conditions were perfect, tacky, wonderful. nature even sent along a deer to say hello to us, YAY nature! george is the guy in orange, the deer is the animal looking like a deer, and that blurry picture is me hucking about 3 feet of MTBR air, which you can't see due to a crappy angle.
overall, a great ride. (even a bad day on a bike is a good day though). i love my bicycle.

If this is directed to me: They are plenty dirty. Just because you don't see big hunks of mud hanging off doesn't mean anything other than I maintain and take care of my rides.

Taking the big bike out for a ride...... 8" of travel and 45 pounds of fun. How many miles can I grind out on that thing?

Went to the Bonnie Carrie Spillway today and had a good ride. Two Laps. My first lap was eventless and my second one was not.
Near the half way point, I came into a small quick curve that went in and back out as well as slightly down hill (about a six inch drop) way too fast. I hit the breaks and that is where things started to go wrong. Started to go over the bars and was then able to do some sort of Barrel Roll and landed on my back with the bike going over me and landing on the far side of me from where I started. Got up, saw I had a small scratch on my left knee that was bleeding. Picked up my bike and got going after getting the chain back on the correct gear. It was a ESPN highlight real quality crash. Too bad it was not on film. I would like to watch it, LOL. Over all I am starting to suck less and getting Better, LOL.

I just rode home from a birthday party, about 4 km through the city. Nothing exceptional by itself, but it started snowing hard and the snow started to stick on the road. I had my rain pants, high boots and rain jacket on, and it was just bloody awesome. Yes, I am looking forward to winter, I love cycling in the worst weather when everyone else is ducking into doorways. It makes me feel like some kind of superman.
My studded tires are in the mail, and I'm hoping for a really cold winter with lots of ice. If any lake in a 50 km range freezes, I swear I'll be there.
This morning I suspected that it'd snow later on, and so I didn't take my road bike but my Fuel EX (less slipping, disc brakes). That's why this belongs in the MTB forum :-)
