Yes. My HT is a 15" and Girlscouts Voodoo is a 14.5 and I can ride them with no problem. A long seatpost(400mm) should work out fine for you.

BFG, that is an awesome pic.

Thanks :thumb: How did he get that name?

Ok.......Some of the ruys at ridemonkey were having a camping trip.Thats where I met Gastro and Wheelie mert. A guy that went by Biggins put it together. There was much nonsense going on. Motomile pedaled his new M1 DH rig almost to the Blue Ridge Parkway then submereged it in Mills River. He was duct taped to a tree......anyhoo, Biggins and my son started ragging on each other and Biggins called him the girlscout and it kinda stuck. There's more to it than that but thats the short version.

ca7erham 09-11-08 05:50 PM

I'll take your word for it. . .

lanfarm 09-11-08 07:46 PM

Muffins anyone?
Giant chocolate chips and a whole lotta raspberrys.

santiago 09-12-08 07:43 PM

I just ordered a pair of baggy shorts.

ca7erham 09-12-08 07:59 PM

I just wore a pair of Lycra ones. . .

Dannihilator 09-12-08 08:03 PM

I rode 40 miles in the rain on my fixed gear in lyrca, what an awful feeling afterwards.

lanfarm 09-12-08 10:13 PM

Anyone ever eat a muffin while riding a bike? If you havn't, do it NOW!

ca7erham 09-13-08 04:57 PM

I don't want to start a new thread for this but I have been casually looking a freeride hard tails and found that Jamis's web site says that the Komodo 1.0 (and I think the 2.0 also) has a 1.5 head tube with a reducer to 1 1/8. I want to know if that 1.5 is the same as OnePointFive and if there is even a difference. I've been told that 1.5 is C'dale but now I'm not so sure.

I always ride in my baggy shorts, which are pretty much basketball shorts.

Down with lycra!

ca7erham 09-13-08 06:31 PM

Baggy shorts are great and all, but I find it much more comfortable to use lycra for long rides, but maybe thats just because the only pair of baggy shorts that I have don't have much padding.

I do that too, but it sucks cause when I need jump off fast to the side so that the bike down fall down on me, the crotch part of the shorts gets stuck on the seat end. Too baggy im guessing :P

ca7erham 09-13-08 07:12 PM

Thats why I usually wear lycra... (and dont ride with overly baggy shorts)

I've never had that problem..

Although I get how it would happen.

BFG 09-14-08 05:31 AM

Luke needs to try lycra before sculling his h8rade.

BFG 09-14-08 09:26 AM

Living in West Australia as its benefits sometimes. It may be the a-hole of Australia, but Sam Hill comes from here, and his family of course still reside here....yeah, the same family who just told me all the details if who he is riding for next year, and the contract.

AND I'M NOT SPILLING ANYTHING.

Yeah, might have to go back to wearing jeans more often - - they seem to impart mad skillz.

Last rumor I heard is that Specialized is picking him up. PM me and tell me if I'm right or wrong :D.

I'm about 100% positive that it's special ed that signed Hill.

I actually rode the mountain bike, since I somehow managed to hurt my left shoulder when riding my fixed gear yesterday and the mtb is about the only bike I can ride without experiencing a carp load of pain in my left shoulder.

lanfarm 09-16-08 08:22 PM

What shoes do you ride when you guys MTB? Actual shoes for mountain biking? Im not talking about when clipped in, just shoes. Its grip that you want right? I wear my Addidas Superstars and they grip great. Just looking for a opinion.

I've been using DC's.

Is there a reason for DC? Or are they just what you have?

Dannihilator 09-16-08 08:33 PM

The tread design DC uses works good on platform pedals.

O, ok. Thats why I like my Addias. They have that Zig Zag pattern.

Dannihilator 09-16-08 08:37 PM

I tried a set of shoes that had the zig zag design and wasn't fond of the grip.
