Bikes: Bike Count: Rising.

I rode 40 miles in the rain on my fixed gear in lyrca, what an awful feeling afterwards.

I don't want to start a new thread for this but I have been casually looking a freeride hard tails and found that Jamis's web site says that the Komodo 1.0 (and I think the 2.0 also) has a 1.5 head tube with a reducer to 1 1/8. I want to know if that 1.5 is the same as OnePointFive and if there is even a difference. I've been told that 1.5 is C'dale but now I'm not so sure.

Baggy shorts are great and all, but I find it much more comfortable to use lycra for long rides, but maybe thats just because the only pair of baggy shorts that I have don't have much padding.

I do that too, but it sucks cause when I need jump off fast to the side so that the bike down fall down on me, the crotch part of the shorts gets stuck on the seat end. Too baggy im guessing

Living in West Australia as its benefits sometimes. It may be the a-hole of Australia, but Sam Hill comes from here, and his family of course still reside here....yeah, the same family who just told me all the details if who he is riding for next year, and the contract.

AND I'M NOT SPILLING ANYTHING.

Yeah, might have to go back to wearing jeans more often - - they seem to impart mad skillz.

Last rumor I heard is that Specialized is picking him up. PM me and tell me if I'm right or wrong .

I'm about 100% positive that it's special ed that signed Hill.

I actually rode the mountain bike, since I somehow managed to hurt my left shoulder when riding my fixed gear yesterday and the mtb is about the only bike I can ride without experiencing a carp load of pain in my left shoulder.

What shoes do you ride when you guys MTB? Actual shoes for mountain biking? Im not talking about when clipped in, just shoes. Its grip that you want right? I wear my Addidas Superstars and they grip great. Just looking for a opinion.

Is there a reason for DC? Or are they just what you have?

The tread design DC uses works good on platform pedals.

I tried a set of shoes that had the zig zag design and wasn't fond of the grip.

For trail riding I wear an old pair of SixSixOne Launch shoes (which are still going strong despite some pans they've gotten over on RM for falling apart). For racing, I'm using 661 Dually Takis. I like the mid-high top for the ankle protection and support.
