Have 3, 2 are posted below. I also have a Spec. Stumpjumper M4 hardtail....

This is the newest bike - just got it yesterday... hard to tell in the photo but the color is "liquid blue"

So how do you feel about the Superlight vs. the Stumpjumper?

Wow! That's the $2,000- question isn't it! I like both bikes. I can't say enough about the Stumpjumper. The bike performs very well, especially for what it's made to do - charge down technical descents. I love the ProPedal technology and usually leave it on the ProPedal setting.

I thought I needed a cross-country vs. all mountain bike which is why I bought the Superlight. Have only ridden the Superlight once. Have some kinks to work out but I can feel a difference. The Superlight is better suited for my type of riding, climbing fire roads, descending not so technical singletracks, forest trails etc. The Superlight does climb better (at least to me) than the Stump, but it's still too new for a real comparison. Since both are in the same price range, I think either for be a good choice for someone looking to get a new bike.

I'm still wondering why I bought 2 bikes in the same year!

Yeah that was a very vague question, lol. I didn't think to elaborate and I forgot that you've only ridden it once. But either way, 2 very nice bikes. I'm jealous What did it cost you total? The Superlight that is.

OK you are going to be jealous - with the Chris King Headset total out the door $1456.00. The cool thing is although its the "older" frame (the 2007 has some major changes) all the components are the newest 2007. Kindof the best of both worlds - a tried and true frame and new upgraded components!
