Having reflectors can throw the wheel out of balance, thus making it shake. Usually won't happen on the trails, becuase you'll be boucing around enough not to notice. So, too lazy to take the reflectors, but putting on disc brakes was no problem, huh?

My biggest reason for removing reflectors from the wheels is that they will get removed eventually and if I don't do it consciously in my garage, then I will inadvertantly leave behind a bunch of trail litter.

Not only that, they could possibly bend or break a spoke if twisted the right way.

That is sitting low!

Here is my bike, more or less. I have put on toe clips and straps, dual waterbottle cages, bar ends, better saddle, pump, wedge pack under the saddle, computer(I love christmas and my birthday). Nothing too fancy, but it gets me on the trails and lets me ride pretty well. Next purchase will be clipless, and eventually a Tassajara.

Here is my rig... (Jamis Dakar XLT 3.0) I just bought the frame and I transferred the other parts from my other bike to it. It is supposed to be a trail bike with 5 inch of travel front and rear but since my fork has only 105mm of travel I adust the rear to match. The whole thing weighs 30.25 lbs

Here's a pic of my new Haro Extreme X2 Any opinions?
Of course this pic was taken before my 1st ride on it. I plan to install my new Hayes HFX-9 brakes & lighter wheelset/tires this weekend.... It should be down around 30lbs.

If you're looking to get rid of them cheap, I'll buy them!
