Hey edsol, what do you mean an Asian version? Is it a copy, or made by the same people(same factory) and just painted differently.

Either way, I like it! I've always liked that suspension design with the rocker links. Seems to be spec'd pretty well too. XT, derailleurs, cranks, shifters(?) Is that an Easton stem. Thomson seatpost, Avid discs....etc.

Just one ?, why do you have to plug it in? What the cord for? j/k, nice bike!

asian version

a certain Taiwanese company made frames which caught the fancy of Azonic. Azonic ordered the productions of these frames which were officially called the xtension series ( Saber, propulsion etc). The same taiwanese company continued to build these frames but with different names, like mine is called xtension xpilot.

Pic of my new ride I got today for free:

Not bad for free? Shimano Deore STX parts, wonder how they compare to the modern line of Shimanos.

Hierarchy-wise STX fell in around where Deore sits today... below DeoreLX. As far as straight performance is concerned, I'd say they probably perform on par with modern Alivio if not slightly better assuming the components aren't too worn.

BTW, what's up with the driveside chainstay. It looks like it might have been damaged.

It was bent, but the person I got it from realigned it pretty well, but the pain got chipped up in the process. No biggie.

And thanks for the info on STX parts!

I just joined today and that was my first time posting a pic.

anyhow, this is my piece.

02' K2 zed 3.0
03' psylo sl u-turn
rhino lites
lx/deore

bought the zed for $75 with all but a rear wheel, threw on my parts from other bikes, the only things that stayed were the bb, headset and rear der.

since this pic, i broke my digital camara, upgrades include: avids, new seat (bent the rail on that $5 trek take-off), new seat post, bent that piece of junk too, and shimano 515 pedals.

it is nothing special, but it gets me out of the house.

Probably throw it on an old bike if I find out that it uses a standard 1 1/8 inch fork. If not, I will selll it.
