Versus Blitz II Review
Here is part of a professional Review I wrote on the Blitz II Freeride bike on www.actionsportstrader.com. If you would like to see the review in full, please visit www.actionsportstrader.com. Thanks
David vs. Goliath
Versus is a small builder from California that broke into the mountain bike scene a few years back with a great lineup of cost friendly bike frames. Frames like the Weapon-X, Trigger, Jab and the headliner, and Blitz II are all aimed at giving riders a quality product at a great price. “We are rider driven,” says the Versus website. This is a far cry from the larger companies that have riders believing that, “good frames equal high price.”
Versus says, “With the proliferation of mountain bike corporations looking to out do each other with the latest and greatest in technological gimmickry, Versus has chosen to keep its ears closer to the ground level, far away from the preaching of corporate marketers. Like the independent filmmaker who withstands the hurricane forces of Hollywood sequels and saturation marketing, our mission truly echoes from the voices and requests from our riders and allies: Your local bike shop mechanic, the neighborhood freerider, the dirt jumper, the street grom; from the 15 year old who emails us after the session at the park, to the LBS owner who calls us to say how much her customers love their new Versus.”

CNC'd links slamming against the seat clamp is an immediate deal killer for me.
No thank you.

Regular clamp works great
Thanks for reading the review. I will start posting more product reviews over the next few weeks. Check back periodically.
As far as the seat clamp is concerened the links occasionally hit the seat clam lever, but you can easily remedy this with a regular bolt on style clamp or a Salsa clamp. In all honesty, the bike rides and handles like a dream.
