Thank you for your service. Light-bicycle chinese carbon rims, or something else? Looks like a lot of fun.

Yep. Light Bicycles 30mm rims.

DT tubulars and Enve clinchers on the 29er. You could say I have an appreciation for carbon wheels.

20 miles on the new rig over the weeked - I am digging the color contrast this silver frame has.

Thanks Joyota! Everything came out great considering this was my first build on a bare frame.

Bikes: 2013 Surly Karate Monkey, GT Timberline, Steve Bauer Chinhook, 90s Haro (not sure) ridgid MTB

My collection will continue to grow as long as i dont have a car. Next couple I want is a 1x10 or SS Surly cross check for city and mild off road. A touring bike would also be nice, maybe a Surly disc trucker or something else.

My comuter is the Steve Bauer Chinhook. My Winter bike is the white one which is now green and waiting to be put back together with new shifters, grips, rear rack, schwalbe studded tires, and SKS fenders. The GT is my latest addition and I took appart the cantis to clean and grease and has new grips

Been out of mountain biking for a while. Got a good deal on a F29 Carbon. Great hardtail. Plan on leaving it stock for the near future.

Took care of that today. Adjusting to the 29 inch wheels. When the trail opens up and gets flowy, the momentum is awesome. My 26'er felt better in tight, technical corners (for now). Thinking about a shorter stem, but I'm worried about unweighting the front wheel in the corners. Trying to figure all that out, but that's part of the fun, I guess.

Either way, so happy to get back on the trails. Nothing beats that feeling of rhythm on a nice piece of singletrack. It's like therapy.

Bikes: everywhere

Finally got a quality non-rigid fork on one of my rides, a 2000-ish SID on the KHS. Hopefully trail rides on Saturday, which is supposed to be the last of a 3-day dry spell, then maybe cut 2cm off steerer tube Sunday if all goes well.

love your bike! I used to have the same
mine from it's last quiet ride

well actually during this ride something happened in the BB area causing a whole bunch of noise which lead to a frame warranty claim

now it looks like this

get to take it out tomorrow for the first time again
I already miss the colorway of the first frame

It's a crappy shot, I know. But I just built it up. First mountain bike for a roadie. I decided not to go the CL route, go big or go home.....
