^^ Cool . . . have always been enamoured with the concept of mags: Spin, Tag, etc.

sloar 03-22-13 07:13 AM

I had a pair of the 26" spinergy blade mags, blew the rear hub out while riding in Moab. Luckily I had the spins with me as a back up.

sold my geared bike since I had not ridden it in two months.... I absolutely love this SS
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...ps382b790d.jpg

I did order a new geared bike for when we go out of town (don't need gears on any of the Houston trails)
The new one is a carbon hardtail.... actually lighter than the SS

georges1 03-29-13 09:39 AM

my only MTB 1993 Merida Al Bon in full original shimano lx transmission which was a present from a friend, changed the original araya wheels two years ago by mavic xm 819 tubeless wheels fitted with hutchinson pythons. I will upgrade this bike with full xt and v brakes when money will be available.

Brand new to MTB, but just today picked up a pair of entry-ish level GT Avalanches to join a pair of road bikes. Went on my first trail ride today and it blew my mind. I don't know if I'll ever ride on the road again - I had a freaking blast.

I started on road first, and i agree MTB is much more fun. I still do road though.

Joe Murray vintage steel porn here folks....

Haven't had a bike like this in years...found it on CL for $200. The Judy still has the aftermarket air kit....works perfectly!!! A little rehab in the garage tonight includes new rubber, grips, saddle and seat post and I'll be hitting the trail with this!!!! :D

Bought this bike for 10euros 2 days ago, today I went to a small park near to our home to test it out, and all I can say is WOW! I have not have this much fun in a bike, since my bmx times.

Just got back into it after about 12 years, haven't been mountainbiking since I was a teenager.
Here's my starter rig. Got it used last month, added a new rear tire, bar ends and a new seat so far

Get the saddle to where it's not in a position where there is a chance of the rails snapping.
