Just ordered a setback seatpost today, although its right at the "max" mark right now, I dont feel comfortable with it that far back either

Can anybody help me.... my friend said this frame is a ladies one! is that true? all other pics I have seen of this bike have a different shape cross tube...now worried lol thanks

We still have a long time to wait before all the low trails and singletrack dry up enough to ride but it was fun bombing around this afternoon.

Sick colors mate!

I don't even think that bike is made in a women's frame design so your friend is probably just jealous. Like me!! :thumb:

It's probably the small (15.5 inch) frame, right? That's just how they do the top tube on the small. The 17.5 appears to have a little bit of an angle break with the seatstays and it gets more pronounced as the sizes go up. Marketing pics usually show the most common, larger-size frame.

gary2323 04-04-13 08:49 PM

Hey yeah its the 15.5 inch. Aww, I see thanks guys,:thumb:

Nice bike! I just picked up the same in the titanium and red color scheme but I was back and forth quite a bit. As others said the cross tube angles more as the size gets smaller, def not a women's bike. I find the brakes to be pretty lame too. Keep us posted on how the hydraulic change over goes!

Sry 'bout the catalog shot. Will post a full report when the box gets here and I unpack the goodness. Just placed my order this afternoon with Yeti. Man oh man, don't know how I'm going to live with an honest-to-god trailbike after my string of mongrels. So stoked.

So I finally got my first hardtail MTB. Thanks to all from BikeForums who helped me out. Guess the new Post your Rigs is the ideal place to showcase. Brick wall on a overcast day makes a surprisingly good background. I'll do a proper photo shoot sometime. Felt Q720:

The shifting was set up so well by my store it's a dream, at times so quiet and quick that I don't realise its happened:

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/e...3/DSC_0385.jpg

Two small changes to the stock version: grips changed to Bontrager foam ones (I REALLY didn't like the stock grips). I thought foam grips would be way too soft and spongy, but they're actually very nice, firm and grippy. Also went clipless with the basic Shimano SPD pedals:

I could go on about how the fork isn't up to the rest of the bike, but I'm a cyclist, not a component weenie and to be honest, I can't even tell the difference between that and higher-end forks. The thing rides like a dream, and I'm happy as a pig in mud.

And that's mah first hardtail.

Great photo backdrop selection....and nice bike hahaha

Sweet bike. Are you going to race it in the Wednesday night series?

dminor 04-06-13 10:26 PM

Mostly lurk around here but just picked up a new project. New, old stock 2011 Fisher Sawyer.

http://i47.tinypic.com/a5hr8k.jpg

Pretty much stock expect for some things I've had laying around (Thomson post/clamp, ODI Rogue, Spank Spike pedals). In the process of switching it over to 1x9. In the end it'll likely be a SS. Much like every other bike I've ever owned...
