Why is this forum all of a sudden dying ?

I mean I'm actually having to take some of my questions to the guys with the gay shaven legs because of the lack of action in here.

What's up ?

I don't think it's all of a sudden. This forum has been in slow spiral for a while now. At one time it was full of characters, some good some not so much ( It all depended on how you looked at it). A lot of people with thin skin and no sense of humor really started to get old to some of us.You could still get good info, you just had to know how to weed through all the noobs posting on things they knew not of. That was part of the fun.....I don't know what the fix would be.

It could also be the fact that many of us just shoveled 2 feet of snow off our driveways and the bike is put away for the winter. I hope it picks up in a couple of months. Thank you to all the old faithfulls for all your help and advice though.

a) people who post in here the first or second time get blasted (as I did) by 'dooshbags'.

b) BF pretty much sucks now. Since the "upgrade" the forum is mostly unusable. Everyone has gone over to RBR and MTBR.

After giving it some thought what we need is more noob "know it alls" like Jason222, and the elf... a couple of Pete's, Gastro and Never to post regularly.Ed,B2,Santiago,Jerkyard,and D to turn it up a notch or two. Throw in a bunch of thinned skinned folks to keep it fun and you have info and entertainment all rolled into one.

I am. I avoid this forum as much as possible now. Sad that I feel more at home with the roadies than I do with the mountain bikers, after being a mountain biker for 12+ years.

I think there are many reasons, but winter certainly has something to do with it. I mean I spent the day snow skiing, so unless you want a full report from the slopes, then I don't have much to post about here in mountain bike land.

Yeah, that always happens when the admins go with the "remodel to make it better". They just kill the place.

sad that you feel more at home anywhere online. It seems like the forum is a bit of a college athletic program, the good ones came through a while back and have graduated or moved on and now is the time of awkward people trying to fit together and make this place enjoyable.

Yo...I prob. appreciate a good bike forum "better" when I can't ride as much. Keeps my senses acute...keeps me dreaming about the trail.

The DewshBahgs blasting have no tact or imagination...a good blasting is subtle...like you don't even know you got blasted until it's too late. The problem is that we let the noobs start blasting people.

When the rain lets up I'll start posting some good dirt/trail pics for you again. Last January we had 70 degree weather

if I had to take a guess, it's cause mountain bikers have a life outside of the computer room.

It's those darn kids, and their rock n' roll!

Or, they're all out trying to get rigid single speed steel 29ers.

Probably the time of the year has more to do with it.
