Now to build it up over the next several months slowly. 08' model (Burnt Orange) color. Seems like a decent typical Taiwan frame. I don't know about that rear shock though! Will run it a little then decide. I wish it had lockout but we will see.

As far as the build goes.............planning on hydraulic brakes; Cane Creek 110 zero stack headset; maybe Sun Ringle Equalizer rims with another set of disc jockey hubs; Race Face Deus handlebars and limited edition crank set; another set of Panaracer XC Pro tires; saddle.....who knows; another Race Face Deus seat post; love my Marz 44 TST2 fork but may look to a 55 for this build (something with compression adjustment); brakes.........have not made up my mind yet!

Good thing is..................not in a hurry, gonna do it slowly! Here are some pics. of the frame. Looks more like rust than burny orange.

You've got a true Horst Link 4-bar rear end, which has a legendary rep for sweetness.

From your proposed parts pick, I'd suggest:

Avid Juicy brakes;
SRAM X.9 drivetrain.

You're gonna have:

1. a GOOOOOOD time putting it together;
2. a HAAAAARRD time not speeding up the process!

My first FS bike so I will take your word that that is very very good! Yes, I love wrenching and even though I have built up plenty of roadies......this is my first mtb build! I will seriously take your parts recommendations under advisement. That is why I asked the fine folks here for help.

Yes.

With this frame, with the cable routing coming from the top tube and routing down would the Shimano XT 770-series front derailleur with top top swing and being the low clamp style be the one that works for this bike. See frame picture for ref.

Very nice frame. I too am looking to buy a full suspension frame, my first one in fact. I have the opportunity to grab this exact frame, however I'm quickly shopping around to see if I can find any full suspension frames similar to this one, but instead uses a 73mm bottom bracket. Mostly because I have a stock pile of 73mm bottom brackets and I have to get a new frame and not be able to use my spare parts.

But hey, at the same token, bottom brackets aren't that expensive, and I doubt I'll be able to find a better deal than this gizmo, at least right now anyway.

EDIT - Do you happen to know the recommended fork travel with that frame? I sent an email to somebody selling it and said any fork 3-5" would work. That's quite a range, but figured I'd ask. Also - do you happen to know the max tire clearance? Is it 2.3"?

I went with a Marzocchi Bomber 55 TST2 which is a 160mm travel. I have tested the bike so far around the house but yet to on some good trails. That will come next week. But so far the 160mm does okay but I really won't know until I hit some good technical single track in Bent Creek here in the mountains! Can't wait.

I will give a ride report once I do so stay tuned here for my overall impression and review of the fork.

I got the frame at Wheel World for $299 and thought this would be a great chance to dip my hands in the full suspension realm. I still like my hardtail.............I am old school but this fs so far rides okay. Still trying to dial in the drive train a bit and get my air pressure correct in the front fork and rear shock. I kept the Rock Shox Bar 2.1 rear shock for now. I figure I will trash it then replace. Really heard that the Fox RP2 <???? was a great choice but I have done some reading and research and for half the money a X-Fusion O2 PVA gets high marks and some even liked it better than the Fox! I was surprised. May have to go that route when time.

That's quite a big fork. Is there a "recommended range" for the frame? Or are you just taking your chances with the 160 mm and seeing what happens?
