This is the only military 'fame' I'm aware of in my family. Not the only page I could find about him, but definitely the most accurate.

Yeah, Cannondale started that look, back in 2005. The F600 Furio hardtail sported WWII era bomber stripes and simulated rivets. That was one great riding HT:
