Wow. A very cool look. It's about time we started seeing Steam Punk in bike form, though I'm gonna guess that this isn't the first shot at it.

Bikes: are fun to ride

I dig the paint scheme. The bike not so much.

Looks like a custom job and not from the factory.

Cannondale did a similar riveted airplane panel theme on one of their bikes.

So did Specialized, though theirs wasn't nearly as nice looking as this one.

Really cool color scheme. But Ed, what are you going to do with a bike like that? Other than break it on the first ride?

Love the paint job, just wish it was on a deserving bike.

Sorry, sorry, you're right, it's not my place to decide what bike deserves a paint job like that. Especially considering it looks to be a higher-end bike than mine, sans the drivetrain. So let me rephrase that:

Love the paint job, but it seems like it belongs on a bike valued at more than the cost of the paint job.

And just to make sure I have my facts straight, that is a Dakar XC frame, correct?

That's a great looking fighter in the first pic, P-51?

Looks like a Japanese carrier bomber. The canopy would make it a Aichi D3A or something similar, except the wheels aren't right.

This is a P-51:

Looks like a Brewster to me, but I don't know a whole lot about airplanes. Or maybe a Grumman?

Brewster is a single seat fighter. Grumman made a lot of planes - which one?

I believe it's an AT-6:
