Love the Telluride area and the San Miguels, Shifty. Is this shot from a trail?

Okay, yeah....I was a little confused by the trees. My recollection of the view from the pass was it was pretty wide open.....so it makes sense this is on the trail and closer to the Peak. Any more from that area?

Steel wind sculptures at a private residence near the mouth of Cheyenne Canyon in Colorado Springs. These amazing sculptures are perfectly balanced and mounted on high grade bearings and move with the gentlest winds that come out of the canyon. They were built by Starr Kempf in the 1970's and 1980's. To find them go to the park visitor's center of Cheyenne Canyon Park, look for them across from the parking lots on a side street.

Thanks, valygrl. I go up there often.....though I live between there and Denver. Having the choice between heading out on Friday afternoon and going to the mountains via some of the Colorado roads.....or going north to Laramie, then having not ONE car on the highway from Laramie to Centennial at 6:00pm (a few people came up while I was up there, but not many).....well, it's a no-brainer.
