Your pics remind me of the beautiful shots Colorado's own John Fielder takes. Might you be he? If not you sure have talent...if so..well we know you have talent. Great shots!

Flattered would be an understatement. I am certainly not he, nor am I in his league. But I certainly appreciate the sentiment in the spirit it was given, and I don't want to diminish your impression by being too self-deprecating. Simply, Mr. Fielder has been a professional photographer for a very long time. I have always considered myself an "avid amateur". Recently, I have been fortunate enough to sell a few prints at a local shop, so I suppose in that sense I could be considered a "semi-professional". But I know how difficult it is to make an actual living at it. Fielder has been very good at marketing/publishing along with his skills as a photographer. But I know there are many landscape photographers who are of his caliber (or better) and are just not as successful (commercially). I have always admired those people and they have inspired me to learn and improve. And I am always humbled by the consistency of their work (and much better cameras/equipment does make a difference as well). I think what I do have that is similar to them is a passion for getting out and a good sense of when and where to go for a good shot. The scenery itself gets much of the credit! Glad you enjoy them!

Here's another shot from my last trip.....these are Mountain Bluebells near, ironically enough, Cottonwood Pass (btw, that IS a great shot, aham23):

This is (what's left of) the National Belle Mine near Silverton, Colorado. I deliberately added the film grain to the sepia conversion to make it appear like an old, historic photo:

Yay!!!!!!! :thumb::thumb::thumb:Not only some new pics, but some very cool ones! Literally. Fresh snow. Very nice. Boy, if the upcoming winter is anything like this summer, we're going to have some serious flooding next spring! Okay, now I'm inspired to show more shots from higher up.....here's another from the Handies Peak climb several weeks back.....from just above the saddle looking northwest toward Cinnamon Pass. I call this "don't slip on the way down!"

^:thumb: I was thinking the same thing about the upcoming winter. The fresh snow didn't last long as it was gone by the afternoon but it made for some great scenery in the morning.

White River Trail leading from Crawford to Ft. Robinson, Nebraska - and back. You can also ride around see some historical sites at the Fort when you reach the trail head there.
