Ah nuts, forgot to update my profile. I think I joined this forum back when I got my first mountain bike in Pittsburgh (which was stolen later that summer). Riding a Lemond Poprad now, looking to purchase a real road bike later this summer before the MS Bike Tour (the hills in Northern Jersey really kicked my butt).

Anyway, I'll be in Brooklyn so I can meet up with you guys in Park Slope. I'm right by the Atlantic Pacific stop in Brooklyn.

OK, talked to Bklyn. 6:30 at the end of the Manhattan Bridge (pedestrian side since they're still doing construction) for Brooklynites, my place for Manhattanites at 6.

I'll have to meet up with you guys some night. I'm right in Times Sq & get off work after 6. I'd need family clearance of course...

Thanks Air for the invite. I'd love to go and meet all of you guys, but I don't live in the city, haven't figured out how to bring a bike to work, and don't get out of work so early.

DoH! What time do you usually get out - maybe at some point we can figure out a later ride or drop your bike off at my place first. We should ride back up to Yankee Stadium this summer - the construction progress is crazy compared to what we saw when we were up there.

It should be a nice night. Have plans for tomorrow. Did a few CP loops tonite. That was good Montauk training. Windy and cold.

I'm going to try to do a slew of miles before heading out for the Coney Island ride. Shooting for 60....

Dropping off the bike would be a good idea. I have to be ahead of my workload during the weekday so I can participate or else I may be working through 7 PM. Yankee Stadium should be marked in the plans. Maybe we can do a Yankees ride-to-the-game when TA sets up a tent for parking like it did for Shea this past Saturday.

I'd be up for that.

Sorry guys, going to have to back out. Allergies kicked my butt last night after my run in Central Park. Another trip to the acupuncturist today after work... enjoy the ride!

Good riding w/ you guys! For those of you that missed it, there were hotdogs, fried clams, fries and huge lemonades plus we got to listen to Air's tire squeak from brake and frame rub. He got twice the workout the rest of us did. Here's the pics I took.

Nice shots! Just took a Simple Green shower to get all the crap off me.

For the record I was able to tighten up the spokes and true it to the point where it was pretty damned good as that shot was taken. But as soon as we started on the way back all hell broke loose.

Favorite part was when we parted ways in Brooklyn and seeing the expression on your faces when we couldn't spin the wheel. Hardest 30 miles I've done in a long time.

But awesome night, great company and oh the food!

Hey 40 Cent!

Brought the wheel to the lbs, they retensioned it. My apt exploded yesterday (long story but holes in the wall, lots of cleanup and rebuilding of shelves) so I'm going to jump on it in about 30 mins. Hoping it'll hold...a bit afraid that I'm screwed but we'll see...

Oh, and somehow I broke my brake lever. Ordered one last Friday from Nashbar but it's not in yet (before it broke even - I'm 2 for 2!).

But you're still doing 145 on Sunday, right? Even with a machine in perfect running order, that's a haul. But it's gotta feel great with your wheel spinning smoothly.

I'm honored! Plus it looks funny! Good riding w/ you 40 cent and looking forward to the next ride (Totonno's or Difara's anyone?)
