Yes, I went straight to Air's place from work.

I just figured out that I've had a 250-mile week. No wonder I'm 5 pounds lighter and have written 0 words.

Daaaaamn, it's been a while since I've been back on these forums and I'm glad to see you guys are still doing your rides. I should be jumping in on one finally, unemployed/freelancing so I have all the time in the world.

Joining in at least in spirit.

Hi, guys. Noteon, thanks for the heads up on this thread. I'll be checking in and hope for a Monday or Tuesday ride. Or with decent notice I can probably get someone to cover me or I can always call out sick. My commute seems to be my only ride these days and yeah the G.W. and the bike path are fun but I never do anything else.

I'm interested in doing this ride but does anyone know if the bridge does indeed close the walkway at midnight?

The bridge does close at midnight, but I suppose you could take a ferry across.

Probably the GW. Does the ferry run that late? If not, you could always skitch across the GWB.

I'm in for this Friday!!!

May not be fun, may not be random, but I'm heading out to Prospect Park for a few laps around 7pm if anyone wants to join.

If your bike isn't too gigantic you can catch a bus at the bridge going across into Fort Lee. Some drivers do give a hard time some are nice. also if worst comes to worst they ask you to put it in the luggage compartment. Where it will bounce around. If you have an expensive or fragile bike not really an option. The Ferry also closes at some point and the last bus I ever got was 1:10 am at the G.W.

I wish I could go on this one but I'm waiting to get my folder by the 15th I hope.

Thank Jeebus that I won't be undergeared, lol! I'm still waiting for the parts to upgrade the gears...

I'll ride my bike there from Bklyn. Gonna eat my Wheaties before I leave the house.

It's a really fun ride. it takes maybe 90 mins - 2 hrs but it feels so much shorter because you're having such a good time and plus it's in the dark, so you can't see how far you've gone

I am doing the "No Rain!" chant from Woodstock

I don't think I'll be there. I spent too much time pushing big gears earlier this week and need to let my knees rest before my Bear Mountain training ride on Sunday. Have fun!

Sorry to miss you, K

dang - I should have ridden to work - no rain this AM and who cares if I got wet on the way home

Lord I hate the train....but I guess it was good to give my own knees a break - new cassette has me pushing bigger gears than I should be for commuting....

Says it'll taper off by 10, pretty sure it'll be on but I'll let you know if I hear anything sooner.

At this point it's on - the rain according to the forecasts should be mostly over soon and won't start up again till 4 AM.

Hahahaha - I'm reading the forecast and post above, turn around to look outside and it's a sheet of rain. Forecast FAIL!

Actually does look like a nice dry period coming up though:

Just got confirmation - it's on rain or shine.
