I'm back! Sorry all, took a bit of AWOL R&R but feeling better now
Not yet but would love to get it going again if we get some consistent weather. Maybe next week?

I got halfway there and turned around. My knee's not ready yet. Hopefully next month.

Hey, what's that bridge we cross on the night rides? Upper East Side, I think, the one that's all climb and no descent?

I'm a noobie, i'd be interested. I'm getting bored with going around solo and could use some leadership on other cool routes to take. Presently I'm doing a lot of loops in the park and going to the westside up the hudson. I may attempt to venture into jersey today for the first time.

btw, the gf went and bought herself a carbon Kestrel Evoke SL w/ Rival the other day. people surprise you sometimes.
back on topic,
ive been all over the city and up to the Cloisters on the west side. I was waiting until the weather got warm to cross the GWB.
here's a site that has a list of NJ routes via the GWB https://www.roberts-1.com/bikehudson/...info/index.htm
they're all northbound, though.
and here's a westchester route: https://www.nycbikemaps.com/maps/nort...ways-bike-map/

Check with your local shops to see if they have any weekend rides which would be a great way for those looking for new routes and people to socialize with on rides. Strictly Bicycles in Fort Lee (a few blocks north of the GWB) is a common meeting place for rides on the weekends which will be a great place to hook up with groups. Another good resource is the 5BBC is another good resource and they have loads of planned rides throughout the area. One last note, do check the NYC: Piermont/Nyack thread in this forum as people sometimes plan rides to those towns.

screw daisy mays, dinosaur is where it's at!
Made my first trip across the GWB today and passed SB, almost stopped for some coffee but I have this thing that I hate stopping. I'm always trying to compare times. I could have paused my computer but that wouldn't be fun. Wind sucks, going north is ALWAYS BRUTAL! i turned around 16 miles out and came back 40 minutes faster than i went out (some of that time was spent figuring out how to get over GWB and getting my bearings.

The world is my bike rack.
As long as I can see the bikes from the table, I'm good.
CPFITNESS, last year we stopped at Dinosaur most of the time. I actually wouldn't mind expanding the menu a little this year.
Anybody feel like making a date, or is it still too rainy and unpredictable for you?

My month is unpredictable. I'll be at CP on Fri. night, but after that, it gets murky. Maybe you can lasso pgoat into doing a night time ride instead of CP laps.
