I rode 50 miles today and had 3 seperate incidents with motorists. IDK why. Ijust dont understand why it is such a big deal to people to share the road. The last guy,we talked, said that just because it legal doesnt meen I should. wtf. So much for a free country.
People are such a pain in the ass.

Unfortunately I didn't have a camera yesterday. If I did I would have taken a picture of this stretch of roadway (Google streetviews). I really like it. After several miles in the woods you come into an open valley. It must be slightly downhill because it's not that difficult to roll at 22+ mph for a nice stretch.
Hammer time!
Hammer time!
i love quiet roads like that. I bet you can ride for ages without any car coming along.

For years I was a hockey fan, not the stupid excuse for a game they made it today, but the old time hockey. going to the Joe....watching an original 6 matchup was friggin awesome. Anyway, the wings didnt have much of a chance, but they had potential. You still got a sence that the management was working on improving the team. Not the bottom line.
Now the new P.C. rules, no fighting, shoot outs. Meh, who need it.
Edit: sorry lost my train
anyways, you dont get that sence with the lions. They fill the stadium, why spend the money on talent? who care we are making money. for them its a buisness and thats all. They run the same media play every year, its predictable and tired.

No, I ask him if the Lions are about to turn it around and he has a nice chuckle about it.

I have a reletive who is an absolute rabid Lions fan. Every year its the same old stuff. Then when it all falls apart he is morose and depressed for weeks. Its even worseif they get knocked out of contention early,. Then he doesnt know how to act, should he watch? whats the point? Am I still a fan if I dont watch? Mind numbing.

Well, I was thinking about getting a new cycling computer that measures cadence as well, but you make it sound unneccessary.
Do you think it is very important to know your cadence as a beginner? I'm not sure what my average cadence is right now, but if
I don't really need this kind of info, I could save a few bucks on my next computer.
Thanks in advance (and sorry if this is kind of off topic at this point in the thread).

nothing is off topic here.
I would say it is more important to know your cadence when you are starting. I always felt my cadence was higher than it really was until i recently got a computer with cadence. Now that I have seen what the right cadence feels like i probably dont need it.

Do you recommend the Cateye Strada Cadence, and the Cateye brand in general? My budget is about $60 (I know, not much).
Thanks for the help guys.

Miami sucks. Did a century yesterday and when I broke down the elevation gain, it came out to 6 feet of rise per mile.
