It's 14°F. This is idiotic.

Through 14 days in December, we've only had one day were the average temperature was above normal. We've had seven days were the temperature was 10+ degrees below normal.

Maybe later. Is the anti-ice junk they put on the roads bad for bikes? It's still out there.

You betcha. Looks like we were doing the same thing last night. 90 minutes, 10 sets of 30s intervals. I was watching The Biggest Loser. Appropriate.

Salt + moisture can corrode metal. I don't know what it does to carbon.
This is why we don't ride pedal bikes or motorbikes we want to keep pretty after the first salt pave, or before the first good heavy rain in spring.

It's ok if you give your bike a very thorough cleaning after the ride, I just don't like cleaning bikes that much.

I would MUCH rather do tempo on the road than ride inside on that Death Machine.

13 here at 6:45am. High teens I can handle, low teens are too painful. I just ordered up some wool socks, a balaclava, and some Craft split finger gloves. If that won't get me into the low teens nothing will, and I will be doomed to the trainer for the winter.

I'm going to need some HTFU pills for tomorrow morning.

It's winter in the tropics and tomorrow morning it will be below 10deg C for the first time this season.

Yep, just one. Not everything is bulk. Clothes, electronics, books, DVDs, etc. are single purchase buys. Same with the Wal-Mart membership club (Sam's Club).

I was once taken to costco. It was a disaster. I was eating from the same pack of sliced ham for months. i also got bored with the colour of the toilet paper after 6 months.

Thanks to the dumb weather (what else) the Tour de Lights has been moved from tomorrow until next Tuesday. Hopefully that will be better.

In other news, I remembered part of another dream. It was MacGyveresque. I was in a house-like structure and downstairs the villain planted a toy which started inflating and continued to expand until eventually it encompassed the whole building. I, and the other people, had to escape before we were crushed to death.
