Make sure the driver is paying attention.

I'll bet you a dirty water bottle and an old crappy cassette that you get shelled during the warm up of the Saturday D-Ville ride.

You're on the DL now though, so maybe you're not as much of a threat.

Knee?

Or will you HTFU and just push through the pain of your Epic skinned knee?

I'm not visiting VV until the first week of April. I'll be healed.

Most of it is that white pre-treatment stuff they spray on the roads. I don't even know what it is? Is it salt?

Probably sodium chloride. It should wash off with soapy water.

Hmm, I'm doing good just to do a wipe off. I don't really see much residue on the frame.

Whoa. Earlier it was raining, and I just discovered that there's a layer of ice on the cement.

It's supposed to get warmer overnight, but I won't want to drive anywhere right now.

Roads are crappy but I dropped the wife off at her office and made to my office safely. This evenings drive home could be ugly.

Took the Mr to work again this morning and there was a crazy eff'er on a bicycle. First cyclist I've seen since my last ride on the limestone path. He appeared to be not wearing nearly enough clothing given the low temperature for how skinny he was.

TS, DUI bars?

VV, the white stuff is either salt or calcium chloride or both. Give your bike a good hot water bath and it will be fine.

18 degrees this morning on the commute. With my current gear that's about as low as I can go. I have lobster claw gloves, a balaclava, and some wool socks coming which should help.
