Speaking of buses, I never heard of this MegaBus before, but according to TV news they just started a route from Knoxville to Washington and had a promotional fare for one dollar.
I wonder if I can put my bike on the back? I can come up and drop you D.C. Freds.

Roads are crappy but I dropped the wife off at her office and made to my office safely. This evenings drive home could be ugly.

Took the Mr to work again this morning and there was a crazy eff'er on a bicycle. First cyclist I've seen since my last ride on the limestone path. He appeared to be not wearing nearly enough clothing given the low temperature for how skinny he was.

TS, DUI bars?
VV, the white stuff is either salt or calcium chloride or both. Give your bike a good hot water bath and it will be fine.
18 degrees this morning on the commute. With my current gear that's about as low as I can go. I have lobster claw gloves, a balaclava, and some wool socks coming which should help.
