nobody asked my why cold was bad. I was surprised. I have actually had a patient go to the hospital after irrigating his ear with cold tap water. He thought he was having a stroke.

Putting cold water in my ear just sounds wrong.

So, what is the medical reason we shouldn't do it?

It stimulates a primitive reflex which causes sudden profound vertigo and an abnormal eye movement called nystagmus. People will usually projectile vomit.

Sure, it will be in the mail soon, however I need you to wire me $100 so that I know that your account is legitimate.

I have a hard time believing that the light circuit could catch fire before blowing the fuse

Yep. But you also weren't up at 4am with me to advise me not to use q-tips to fix it.

Irrigating took it right out. I was doing it myself at 8am but couldn't get it out because I didn't realize I could apply so much pressure. Figured I was going to hurt myself doing it much harder, but the nurse flushed the hell outta that thing.

That said. I have health insurance so my ear wax adventures didn't cost as much as carbon or flaming cars.
