So... I'm stoked!
I have mastered riding on rollers!!
datlas' (I think it was him?) recommendation of having someone hold me was the ticket. We also moved the rollers so that I could rest elbows on a doorframe instead of smashing my hands on them, and that made a huge difference. After about 10 minutes he stood behind me without touching me just to be there, and then a few minutes later he moved away completely and I just relied on my elbows.
Whee!

Keep up the good work.
BTW, your next ride on the road, you will likely feel MUCH smoother and stable on your bike. It's one of many good things that comes from riding rollers.
A couple of sessions and you can just ride them anywhere, although I still like to ride them alongside a wall for stopping/starting.

Like I said, wash with water, take an amount about the size of two of your thumbs and cut 1/4 inch thick sections (kinda like pepperoni)....about a dozen of them....boil in water for 10-15 minutes (longer = stronger), sweeten with honey (or sugar if you don't have any)....drink hot.
It's good stuff.
PS If you are new to the wonders of ginger tea, you may wish to boil for only 3-5 minutes...but I prefer 10-15 minutes for stronger tea.

I'm stuffy enough that I can't taste the ginger tea, but it definitely burns.
