There was a Neon Plate beck there. When they put it back together they put the neon on wrong then put the plate on after it. We have not used the lights on that car until today and when they are turned on the plate comes on. this time ( because of it being installed wrong - the neon cover for the plate was BEHIND the plate ... not in front ) it got hot and when she parked it it had enough heat there to burn.
so i am thinking.

the homey chromey neon look = fire hazard.
let that be a lesson to you. no fire hazards in the 'hood homes.

RUOkie! Jokes aside, thanks for the help this morning! Datlas too. With little hearing at 4am, I was about 2 steps from going to the ER. Managed to calm myself down enough not to do that, then you guys helped a bit further.
