Me?
My opinions is the NCAA rules are dumb and I would do the same crap if I had no money but was effectively working a full time job so a school could make millions on my name. If they don't want them to sell their jerseys and crap pay them 3% of the profit on all sales relating to specific players.

My ride was major suck tonight. I was so excited to get home and ride, but once I got going, nothing felt right. Cadence sensor wouldn't work, headlight wouldn't stay on, I was way underdressed, and something kept clicking. Meh. I hate the days when I'm just not feeling it.

That's good. If 18mph was zone 5, either you have a ton of work to do over the winter or that was one heck of a headwind.

VG, did you update the Garmins' firmware recently? If so, maybe that caused it to lose settings?
Also, remember leave wheel & crank magnets Not in-line with sensor when storing bike to reduce chances of
battery drain.

I don't even know my zones. But I can tell you I wasn't feeling taxed. Something else I need to figure out. I updated training center and I think that did something, because when I hook it up, it says something about resetting device info.

The Garmin sets the HR zone from what you set as your peak heart rate. It's user configurable. You can find out what your maximum heart rate is (within reason) by doing several VO2Max intervals after a good warmup. Since you don't have any hills, that means flat out for 5 minutes, as hard as you can go, against the wind if you can. Do two of them and average the peak heart rate, then set your zones against that. Knowing your HR zones will help you structure your training, as well as keep you from going out too hard in the bike leg of the tri only to suffer in the run. A 56 mile time trial is no easy effort. I've only done 25 mile TT's and I couldn't walk afterwards.

I'm talking about Pryor, Boom Heron, etc. getting suspended 5 games...starting next season...for selling sports memorabilia.
I don't understand why their suspension doesn't start with the bowl game either. Well, I do, it's so the NCAA and owners of the bowl games can make more money, but I think it's hard to argue that it's not farcical.

Razor's thread didn't last long.

I think there should be a legitimate way for NCAA athletes to earn some cash (for living) from their endeavors. A problem is that most programs are already losing money as it is and can't pay all the student athletes.
