That's why I'm doing it. We have a big sailing event coming up and I'd like to increase my grip strength. It helps a lot that the facility is only a couple miles away. About 5 km for you coasting

Kind of like batting a ball up in the air over a net less than three times?

There were lots of pretty girls there; all of them were in fantastic shape and most of them were far better than me. That fact alone makes it worth going.

the climbing thumb wrestler was also very keen on rowing. a bit of an all round action man not unlike my good self.

That one was in the realm of the good ones, but the people leaving one was far truer (way more true?) than folks care to admit.

I see that LAJ clarified the one he meant...both are/were really good, but I appreciated the sauna more a little more.

Truth.

When your center of gravity is mainly around your ass, it makes climbing extremely difficult. Keeping your weight up against the wall is nearly impossible when it's hanging off the back.

I tried it once, it was one of the most humiliating experiences of my life.

You just have to learn to position yourself differently.

Climbing is HARD - especially at the beginning, but speed that you improve for the first few months makes it worthwhile. I will never move like some of the really good climbers do - but I sure enjoy watching them.

He's in no position to be picky; there's a severe balaclava shortage there.
