You might want to take everything in here (Addiction) with a little less seriousness. Most, if not all of us in Addiction, don't take ourselves that serious. Any barbs, imagined or real, are likely not meant to sting, but are only in jest. If I've been guilty of taking you too seriously, let me apologize...

I didn't cast my vote in your "flak vs. split" jacket question, but I prefer the Flaks. I've got several pairs and have been very happy with them. Oakley lens are really nice. I went with the Flak Jackets over the Jawbones, Radar, etc. because they looked a little more "normal" and I wouldn't feel odd about wearing them when I'm not riding.
For most of my everyday wear I still prefer Maui Jims, but the Oakleys are a close second...

I have a Specialized wind-breaker jacket thingie. The sleeves come off and it turns into a vest. It's a really nice little jacket, and it's nicely made. It's just that it's red with some black trim and lots of zippers, and it makes me feel like I look like this:

I regret buying the red one. I bought it in a local bike store, and the red one was the only one left in *any* size....it happened to fit nicely, so I got it. I didn't realize how "thriller" it was until I got home. My bike buddy at work keeps telling me to get white gloves and just wear one of them.
I can't remember the actual name of the jacket, and it's not written on the jacket, so you'll have to use your imaginations.

Of course, now that you've made me have this ^ assocation, I no longer want it. I'd like to thank you for saving me the $$$
