Tires have 95% life in them as they only have bout 200 miles on them. Just did not want to risk getting stuck when wind chills are -10
Good decision.

Bikes: Have two wheels

A story for Velo Vol, so he won't be so bored:

Once upon a time ... there was a radio station. This radio station played music all day and all night. Everyone worked very hard at playing music for their loyal listeners. They were happy.

One day, one of the radio hosts said, "I think I would like to stop playing music all night and all day." The manager of the little radio station thought to himself, "what shall I do? We can't play music all night and all day, if we are missing a host."

So, the very next day, he let it be known near and far that the little radio station needed a new host.

Meanwhile, a lovely lady in the nearby village who wrote songs all night and played all day said to herself, "I like listening to this little radio station that plays music all day and all night. I wonder if they would let me play some music?"

It was just then, that she saw the notice that the radio station manager hung in the square. It said, "Let it be know that our little radio station is seeking a new host to play music all night and all day."

"Perfect!" the lovely lady thought, "I will apply to be a host at the little radio station."

The very next day, she traveled to the little radio station and presented herself to the station manager. He showed her around the little radio station. She played some music for him. They liked each other right away.

And so it was, that the lovely lady from the village came to be a host on the little radio station that plays music all night and all day.

The End.

I enjoyed that story immensely. I didn't quote it, because that story is uniquely Mr. and Mrs. rjones'. I certainly hope it cured Velo Vol of his boredom, at least for a few moments.

That's how it's been here. And it's actually 24* exactly right now.

That's much better, though I couldn't help but notice that it seemed to be written for a fourth grade audience. Interesting.

Was djones well versed in foreign languages/pronunciation? The star DJ that just retired from the public radio station here could rattle off weird-sounding stuff with amazing ability.

Anyone think these will be good for CX? https://www.bikesoul.com/2009/index.p...id=2&Itemid=10

I bent my rim today (probably hit a curb trying to jump it) and now I have just cause to upgrade them.

Whilst I was entertaining myself I came across this timeless masterpiece in videocraft. Artists will be studying it 100 years from now.

We've only got blustery Norwesters turning souwest with gusts up to 70kmh.

it's Queensland in Australia that has to batten down the hatches and get out. The cyclone bearing down on them is now a category 5 and is expected to make landfall at high tide in the evening. those poor bastards.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I was thinking it might be a little high brow for the BF crowd.

Speaking of storytelling, it's movie time.

That's right, I don't know why I was thinking New Zealand. They are going to get flattened; Katrina was only a category 3

Do people in New Zealand get irritated when you confuse them with Australia? I think they do.
