This was me for a long time. I couldn't gain weight no matter how much I ate. My body fat percentage was dangerously low, and I started drinking Weight Gainer milkshakes which added something like 8,000-10,000 calories a day to my diet. Unfortunately, I don't have this problem anymore.

I think I will just have an extra helping and some dessert and see how it goes. I don't even really want to gain any weight, but might want to put on 3 or 4 pounds just to keep the "boss" happy.

Ok so my wife's bike came (Motobecane SRAM Rival CX bike) and it's got a double chain ring where mine has a triple. She's not as strong as me (endurance/strength) but she weighs 60lbs less.

So while I have no problem switching drive trains (mine is tiagra/sora) it would mean downgrading her bike. So I'm not sure what to do... she is just getting into cycling and isn't quite as passionate as me but that is subject to change.

Coasting, what does it mean when a horse wants vodka? Is this some type of mixed metaphor??

Hang in there. I completely understand how it would take its toll.

The system is lucky to have you, with your perspective, doing that job.

Is it a compact double?

Do you live in a super hilly area? If you don't - leave her bike alone, she'll be fine.

If you DO swap it out - under no circumstances let her know that she's getting the downgrade. Trust me.
