Given their age and some other factors the judge probably wasn't too worried about them not coming back. Compared to some of the bail amounts I've seen on other felony charges though, $9,000 seems extremely low. Maybe there is something we don't know

Lesbian action in Desperate Housewives = AWESOME!
Rita from Dexter is doing a great job at being super sexy.

wut. Rita is on Desperate Houswives? I've been following loosely as my gf watches from season 1, and I have to admit it's pretty entertaining. I've become a sucker for outrageous suburban housewife drama. If I see Rita in a girl on girl scene I'll give this show an A+
Live weather blogging: we're currently getting pounded by a rain/thunderstorm.

Faceless avatars, just what is it that you think that you gain from communicating with others in this non-personal way? Just curious.

Just wiling the time away between rides. Should I get an avatar with a face on it?

That would be something, if everyone 'had' to put there current image on each post that they make. I was just musing more about why so many want to share there thoughts and emotions to strangers in this way. (Full disclosure, my wife is dragging me to a writers/blogger seminar this weekend and I'm trying to get in the freeking mood for it.)

How does a 1/2'' x 1/2'' indistinct picture of someone's face have any affiliation to what a person might gain from a forum geared towards bicyles

I think it's cool to see various people from all over the country and the world come together in one little room and communicate--I use that term loosely--about a central topic with infinite subtopics
I've had enough interaction with a number of the regular posters here that I don't consider them to be true strangers. If I met them in person I think we could pick right up in a fairly seamless transition.
I haven't counted them but if you go to right parts of the national park at the right time, it's not that unusual to see one or more bears.

Yes, thank you for that. Yours is very honest, as far as I know. I guess I was trying to flush out why someone would feel compelled to post their opinions to people that they have never met?
I used to have my face on the avatar; I don't see that it made any difference in what I posted.

"Compelled" isn't quite the right word. People are communicable beings. Whenever there's a shared interest amongst a group of people conversation will be sparked
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I'm just trying to understand what this blogisphere world is about a little better. I would still prefer to have an actual face-to-face conversation with the person that I am communicating with. But, that time has long past for the better IMO. I'm just fumbling around trying to get a grasp on how to really relate and connect with the new reality of communication.
BTW, 'they' are predicting possible snow in Santa Cruz Saturday. Obviously the world is ending soon; so, make sure your blogs are current.
