They don't have to stay on the bike all the time, but I usually leave them on at least one of my bikes when we have short days (Nov-Mar, or so). I may need to roll out at a moment's notice.

Me too. Usually too scared on weekend nights, but Wednesday nights are pretty good.

I love it too... but do you ride with regular road tires? I'm a little more nervous to ride at night with slicks. Is it an unfounded fear?

I don't change anything. What makes you nervous about riding with slicks at night?

I guess I'm worried that I'd be less able to see little devils horns/goatheads in the road. Or a rock if I want to go fast.

I usually don't take the sewups out at night, just 23 or 25mm road clinchers with Mr. Tuffies.

Luckily I haven't had to deal with goatheads on a regular basis in 19 years, Mr. Tuffies do alright against 'em though.

Don't outrun your headlights!

Because the forum requires you to have something in that line or it will post a default message.

I was just watching a movie. Did you know that Queen Victoria had Prince Albert's clothes laid out everyday for the 40 years that she survived him? At least that's what the movie says.

What happened to coasting, by the way?

Are you saying that you don't see any when you're out, or that seeing them doesn't bother you?

Coasting is probably passed out after a hard night's sleep.

I went on my first snow ride of the year. Nothing like a snow ride to remind you that you're out of shape!
