The fork can have more flex either in the blades or the steerer. It can also have different rake which can make a difference. It won't make much of a difference but it can be noticable.

Happy B'day lassy! Very intelligent looking friend you have there. Mine's pretty lazy, especially around bikes.
My wife keeps trying to get me to agree to get a cat, I just can't do it. I like them but I don't want anything around that will annoy Alley (my brat terrier). I keep going with my allergy excuses but I'm really not sure how much longer I can keep her from sneaking one in here.

Wow, yours is beautiful as well. Don't let the pictures fool you, Alley has no problem at all curling up under a blanket and sleeping for hours on end.

Mods, I'm all for the "no personal attacks" policy, but at some point it needs to be understood that when a member repeatedly says "A" and then does "B", we'll probably call them on it.
If the member doesn't want that to happen, then maybe they shouldn't post their "plans" in public for others to see, and remember.
And sure, we can ignore those who do this, but when a number of other members find it necessary to ignore someone, then it might be time to examine what the nature of the problem really is.

We've had several cats run our household over the years. We've also owned some dogs.

Alley picked me about nine years ago and she had me the moment I saw her. Now she runs the house but she is nice enough to let me and my wife live here and pay all of the bills and buy all of the food. She really is giving.

I'm off work tomorrow so I get to stay up late tonight. I didn't know it was bagel night though, I didn't get the memo.

I've been trying to understand since like my birth how all that makes the bike _faster_. More comfortable, feels different, etc.. doesn't seem to equate to anything that makes the bike faster. I understand the bike being shaped more aero but aside from that I just don't get it.

Calling out a person is one thing but when it becomes a nitpicking that goes from one forum to the next, it's not fair that the other forum has to deal with the problems that started here, and vice versa. And following a person from one to the other and berate them for something that grew from another place is just not fair. The membership will see who is true and who is not. ESPECIALLY if they are members at all of the other forums involved.
In other words, keep our garbage HERE, don't litter other places with our problems. We can handle our own issues as it goes along.
EDIT: This is meant as a general courtesy not aimed at specific parties, for I know not all of this pertains to certain situations at hand.

More comfortable makes you faster by causing less fatigue. Stiffer allows more power to be transfered. Different rake will make the bike handle better (or worse) which can in turn make you faster or carry more speed as well. It all makes a difference, whether or not it is noticable speed wise can be argued for days.
Cool thanks. I've never heard it described like that. I sort of feel like a bike that "feels" best to you, personally, creates a psychological - or for lack of better word, morale - boost that equates to a better, stronger ride. And since the most important variable - the power generator - is human, it's nearly impossible to measure how much of a difference they make.
