After the first scratch you'll get over it! Racing is what it's made to do, no?

I apologize to everyone for my pointless posts.

This statement should in no way be construed as an implied promise to discontinue the practice.

Well pardon me for saying so but I think that's a little silly. You can race on the 2 series.

I guess the reasoning behind not racing the 2.1 is this:

At $8 Per hour, It took me 3 Checks (all of it ) to pay for the bike. That is a TON of money for me and, the largest purchase i have EVER made. That is why i really dont want to race it. the Thought of even a scratch on it horrifies me.
Once you crash it, or scratch it, it'll start getting some character. I always felt like a bike really isn't yours until you've dinged up the paint a bit. Otherwise, you might as well wrap it in bubble wrap and hang it on the wall, and then it's just art.

Break it, and you can generally fix it.

Don't think of them as scratches, think of them as character lines that add a racing patina to your bike.

As hard as he worked for that bike, can you blame him for wanting to keep it nice?

Happy birthday to little LowCel. Is there anything better in the world than a good pet?

Bikes: A trek

Was just wondering how can a frame be faster, like seriously, it's not really pushing you, especially since the frame is about the same damn thing but I could be wrong.

My guess : it's in your head.

A frame can be more efficient, stiffer, more aero, "snappier", lighter, etc, etc. A frame won't take you from a recreational cyclist to a cat 1 but it can make a difference.

Seeing all of these blue stars on the page, is giving me the feeling that I've just rolled up to an accident scene. Fire, police, ambulance, etc...

Anybody want a donut?
