Charleston is a very bike friendly town. Along the side of that bridge is a pretty wide mup that hosts joggers, walkers, and cyclists. Pretty cool.

I wish fuel was that cheap here. It's currently $2.15 a litre (for 91, our "regular"). 95/98 is dearer still.

I don't buy enough gasoline to get too upset about the price.

I drive very little and my little saturn gets very good fuel economy anyway.
BUT we sadly are forced to use heating oil to heat our house and we burn approx 1000 gallons/year to heat our house so that adds up.

We buy more heating oil than we do gasoline.

Rue. Another tough home loss.
On the other hand, upon arrival I was surprised(!) to discover one of my old pals from high school/college days made the trip down from Kentucky to join us at the game (he's not a UK fan). That was nice.
I haven't worn my snowsuit in something like three weeks, but if I want to ride today I'll have to don it because it's only 39 freaking degrees outside. Rue x 2.
I have never seen a sea otter in the wild.

Friends in Portland lived in a rental they affectionately dubbed the "Diesel House". The oil furnace and tank in the basement had been removed yet the filler pipe was still sticking out the side of the house.
Heating oil guy got the wrong house one day and pumped a couple hundred gallons into the basement. Try as they might the homeowners couldn't rid the place of that smell which is probably why they started renting it out.

I think it's a mostly northeast phenomenon, lots of areas don't have natural gas available and electric heat is very expensive and wasteful so many of us in the NE are stuck with home heating oil.
We definitely burn more oil for heat than gasoline for cars.

I guess whoever took the tank out figured no one would order oil, so no big deal to leave the filler pipe. Wooops. Capping or yanking the filler would've been some cheap goof insurance for sure!
A majority of people are electric here. Some natural gas. Little, if any, heating oil.
