Those two hills really lose 200 feet in like a tenth of a mile? Maybe it's just the scale, it looks really steep.

I saw a couple of people walking climbs on our ride today and one lady walking a down hill. I'm just happy to see them out there giving it their best shot and enjoying the weather.

Had to work this morning, so I tried to get a ride in after, between snow storms. It didn't work... I ran into brutal sleet and snow, When I got to the decent into the loop I was going to take, I discovered that the valley was flooded. So, I just turned around and went home. At least my Fuji is back on the road...

Here's a picture of the spot where I turned around, (...just imagine ~30% of it covered in water and the sky looking dismal):

Yep, and I'll cry again in 5 or 6 days when I have to fill it up again.

What's the price of gas where you are. I paid $3.56 for reg. today, really sucks. Gotta keep finding more ways to use leg power.
It is "only" 3.25 for regular here.

I can't stand to put more than $10 worth of gas into my car at once honestly. I'd rather just sell the thing and ride everywhere.

EDIT: it was a pretty intricate route. Might take an hour to mapmyride. Details to follow. Maybe one day I'll get one of them fancy GPS thingamajiggers.

Your car only has a seven gallon tank?

I get about 300 miles per tank, it generally lasts me about a week.
