I did it. My boss now faces the chore of finding my replacement. We are parting on the best of terms. I told him this doesn't have to be a two weeks notice, or anything. I actually offered to work until the end of March, as long as I got all the Saturdays off so I could race. He took it rather well I'd say. He was a bit confrontational, and defensive when I brought up his disrespect to me. I interrupted him, and told him I wasn't going to argue it with him. It is what it is, and that I still value him as a friend. It is just simply time for me to move on.

Well done. Good luck with the next step.

Just think of all the fitness that you are losing since you sold your bike before you had the rest of the money to buy your new one. That should help.

Thanks, I thought so. It actually went really well. I feel like a huge weight as been lifted. It feels great.

I know how you feel. I've spent some serious loot on bike schwag lately, and I can't even enjoy any of it for awhile. This weather sucks, but it too shall pass.

Getting a new bike is like changing a job....get the new one first THEN get rid of the old one.

I see what you did there. I've got several bikes therefore, I don't need a job. I am going to stock up on tires, brake pads, and chains before I am unemployed. I'd like to ride allot while jobless.

Yes. If things work out the Quarq will be on the Colnago and the powertap will be on my back up bike, my Kestrel. That will keep me from having to switch the crank between bikes. If it doesn't work out then it's no big deal.

Ahhh, I was into that for a while back in the nineties. It still tugs at my heart strings occasionally, but my racing crowd is long gone.

My brother did rc cars for awhile. I did sailplanes and still have a few of these:

It's a hobby I go in and out of, but always seem to go back to.
