Same here. Ride starts at noon. Last week we had 7 riders, hoping for about the same this week.

No crank. Are you building up the Colnago as one of those push bikes you give to little kids to help them learn bike balance before they are able to ride?

. . Sorry.
Just oil heat here. It's fine with me. We could set the temp higher, but we like to winter clothes in the winter.

but of course, on opening night (Thanksgiving). They actually do a great job on the lights. A bunch of "moving" displays like a dog catching a frisbee (flying disc for you TM dorks) and a bunch of geese landing on the lake.

But it pisses me off because the park (which is beautiful, and the home of the Azalea Festival in April) is closed to all road traffic and bicycles during the light show (you can drive through at night with headlights off) and that is where I do hill repeats

Today's ride was cut short. A very nice retired gentleman showed up for the ride. I sat back with him and we ended up cutting the ride a little short.

My ride today was good. Compared to recent temps it was warm, about 40. There were only 4 of us but all about the same level, we did a quick 45 miles.

Tomorrow's forecast is rain all day so it will be either rollers or swimming. My kids have a swim practice at the "Y" tomorrow so I may bite the bullet and hit the lap pool.

No group ride today so 52 miles solo. It was a beautiful, bright December morning. Brings back great memories of years ago.

The roads are closed to bicycles? What an outrage! You must stage an angry protest. PM coasting for pointers.

I had an interesting discussion with one of my club-mates on today's ride.

I was commenting on how I wish I was faster and mentioned some of the stronger guys in our club.

He said that the main difference between me and them is not strength/fitness but just the ability to suffer and keep going.

I am not so sure about that, I wonder if the ability to "suffer" matters as much as innate ability.

Any thoughts?

I think it's a bunch of bull. They can "suffer" longer because their body is in better shape. Everyone suffers, some just go faster when they are suffering.
